Dan's Antique Outboard Site

Welcome! Back around 2001 I became an antique outboard collector: I had been looking specifically for a vintage motor for a 1960 Larson Playboy I was restoring as I didn't want anything new, and a new motor would have looked all wrong on a classic boat. Once I figured out how and where to look for old motors, I ended up with another, then a couple months later, I found a third, and at that point I had a collection! And as you could have guessed, it grew from there.

The Collection page has my semi-current inventory of motors -- I have more photos to take that I'll add when I can. The Sold page has a list of motors that I've had at one point but decided to sell for whatever reason.

2009: Brings in a new year, and a project I hope that has great results - an Antique Outboard Wiki - the only one that I know of. Please visit it at http://antiqueoutboardwiki.com

June 2007 - I've settled the family into our new home in New Braunfels, Texas. If you're in the San Antonio or Southwest Texas area drop me a line, I'm looking to meet up with other vintage outboard and boating enthusiasts.

March 2007: My first Texas Antique Outboard meet - photos by Sheridan and myself.
